OneNote just got another update, which is currently only available for Insiders. The update is available on phones and PC’s and has some neat changes.
What’s new?
The changelog is available, however is a bit confusing, because it mentions features that already were available on previous update. Therefore, there aren’t many new features as last time, but the User Interface is quite different.
User Interface
Well, by looking at the pictures the first thing you might notice is the accent color. The Tile also got updated to match it. In addition, there are tweaks here and there, and some new icons (I might be wrong though).
Also, with this update you will notice new animations and transition effects, which makes the experience quite good. The animations are smooth while you navigate through menus and so on.
Page conflicts
According with the changelog, now it’s easier to find and resolve differences. Conflicts may happen, especially if you use OneNote across several devices, so this change sounds good.
Find text on page
A basic feature, but a must have one. You can now use Ctrl+F to search text on the current page.
Improve reading with Learning Tools
Learning tools adjusts text spacing, presenting a narrow column for reading and highlights each word as it is read aloud, boosting reading skills. Learn more about Learning Tools.
Download APPX
To download the package file, select the version you want on the combobox, which lists all minor updates from the version 17.8269. By default, the latest one is selected.
Then, click 'Download' and you will reach the download page.
It's worth mentioning that all APPX work on mobile devices and desktop (x86 and x64)!
